Came here with the team for a company event. It's a pretty nice place in a fairly accessible neighborhood (plenty of parking). We ordered some appetizers (boat of scallops, mussels, lamb and chicken satay, papaya salad), some drinks, and some entrees (short ribs, Chilean sea bass, coconut fried rice, etc). I loved both meat entrees, especially the sea bass (no wonder it's house special). The portion is a bit little for the price. The appetizers were good but nothing particularly memorable. I'd recommend coming here in groups so you get to try more of the entrees. If value is not really a concern this place can be rated higher.

Favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. Delicious food all around. Flavors are perfection and food is very elaborately made. The place has an upscale feel too which makes it perfect for date night or a business dinner but is also equally family friendly. Staff is always friendly. We have been eating here over the past 6 years (even through the pandemic where they did take out and the quality didn't suffer) and we plan on continuing to come back :)

My family is from Indonesia so I took my parents here for a nice dinner. We were expecting the food to not be super authentic and be a little more fusionesque, which was pretty accurate, but we still had a great meal here. Roti prata was very crunchy and flaky with a flavorful curry sauce but was not too special compared to other restaurants. We also ordered the green bean sambal, sambal tofu, and chilean seabass. The seabass was definitely the star of the meal, and lived up to the hype I'd read about in other reviews. The fish was cooked so perfectly and literally melts in your mouth. I wish that there had been more variety in flavors for vegetarian options because the green beans and tofu had essentially all the same flavors/sauce, though they had more kick than we were expecting! Finished off the meal with the black sesame creme brulee which was a nice mix of sweet and nutty flavors. Both the interior and outdoor patio were beautiful, and they do a great job of creating a peaceful vibe outdoors even though the restaurant is by a bigger street. Service was very prompt and pleasant and made sure we had an enjoyable experience here. TLDR, I wouldn't say that the food is the most authentic but there are some very good and unique dishes here I'd recommend trying, particularly the seabass! Great spot for a nice meal or date night, though a bit pricy for the portion sizes given.

I don't even know where to start, this place was near mind blowing. Everything from the food, to the ambiance, to the service was excellent. Our waiter absolutely crushed it. Gave us a lot of good recommendations and even managed to swap out a dessert for us when we made a mistake. MVP of the night. Food was absolutely delectable. Roti- soft, flaky, the curry sauce on the side I kind of want to take a bath in. Yes, it was THAT good. Savory and creamy at the same time paired with the flaky roti almost made it to die for. Boat scallops- soft and melts in your mouth. The pineapple chutney was sweet and very well balanced. Did not take away from the natural sweet flavor of the scallops. Mie goreng- Spicy, al dente, saucy, overall solid noodle dish! What can go wrong? I want to eat this everyday! Chicken Satay- Peanut sauce was excellent and the chicken had a nice grilled, char flavor to them. Perfect.

I went to INDO on a Tuesday around 7pm, and it was packed! We had a reservation and got seated right away. The patio is absolutely charming with cute lights and decor, and I'm definitely sitting outside next time. I was really happy to see so many vegetarian options on the menu! We started with the mango lemonade and the green papaya mango salad--both super refreshing. The star of the night was the roti prata! We asked them to make it vegetarian (they swapped the yellow sauce it came with for a green one), and it was so good that we ordered two more! The sayur lodeh came with a similar green sauce, and we licked our plates clean. We also tried the pad thai and finished with the black sesame crème brûlée, which had some really unique flavors. I'll definitely be back--especially for that roti prata!

I will start by saying INDO has the best sea bass I have ever had. Hands down. Absolutely delicious. Sweet. Tender. Clearly cooked with care and love. The roti was excellent. I haven't had it in a very long time so it's hard to compare, but I wished at the time we had ordered an entire basket of roti! The dipping sauce was a fantastic complement. The chicken pad thai was high quality and delicious. Scallops were delightfully presented, including a tasty mango compote. We would have ordered one more serving but we got the last one of the evening (apparently there was another scallop happy party in the house). Everyone enjoyed every food item. Food they loved but I didn't tasted myself: lamb korma and Bali ribs. Desserts were reportedly good as well. They were out of the chocolate cake I would have tried! Service was too notch as well. This is the former location of Straits Cafe and it has a lot of the same look and feel. I even had flashbacks. I didn't realize another place had opened up here. While Straits was and is one of my all-time favorite restaurants, INDO is an exciting upgrade. I can't wait to go back to try other (familiar) regional dishes!

Good food, service and ambience in Palo Alto. I stopped by for a small snack after spending the day at the HP customer center nearby, needing some sustenance before braving traffic on the way back home to Pleasanton. I parked in the small private parking lot (there was also some street parking available) and used the rest room (fairly clean) before seating myself at the bar. There were a few patrons (it was a bit after 5 pm on a weekday) but they were mostly seated on the outdoor patio. I ordered water and a Martabak ($15) - beef samosas with pickled onions and chicken curry. The dish arrived in about ten minutes and was steaming hot, the four samosas rolled in the same dough used to make roti prata (which I adore). I ate slowly, savoring each bite, occasionally dipping my samosas in the curry. The bar keeper was friendly, and we struck up a conversation around which soccer team we supported for the Copa America 2024 soccer tournament that is currently going on. The place started getting busy around 6, and I decided it was time to leave. Will be back next time I'm in the area.
